2017 Downtown Celebrity Series

From mid March to June 2017, Nantucket Arts Council with Nantucket Dreamland Film and Performing Arts Center presents four concerts by outstanding music professionals in the Dreamland Studio. These Sunday afternoon concerts begin at 4 p.m. and feature programs in all musical genres. These year includes a Barbershop Quartet, dynamic Chamber Music Duo, smooth Jazz Quintet and a fabulous Piano Duo.

Seventeen musicians perform in a springtime celebration of music in honor of Margherita Sutro, one of the original founders and motivating spirits of the Downtown Celebrity Series!

Downtown Celebrity Series: SMOOTH JAZZ ~ North Star Jazz Ensemble

Join us for a fine evening of jazz. The North Star Jazz Ensemble is built around the silky sound of saxophonist Bruce Abbott supported by the solid rhythm section of Ron Fournier on piano, Marty Ballou on bass and Paul Mason on drums. Their Nantucket concert will include featured vocalist Marcelle Gauvin.
